Speaking at inaugural Iran-Russia trade development summit in Anzali Free Zone

The Governor of Gilan speaking at the first Iran-Russia trade development summit in the Anzali Free Zone emphasized northern region's vast potential in trade and transit, so developing transportation infrastructure and activating capacity of northern ports—particularly along the Caspian Sea route can reduce landed cost of goods while increasing region's share of foreign trade.

Ta'ati-Moghaddam at the First Iran-Russia Trade Development Summit in Anzali Free Zone:

He said Anzali Free Zone in Iran and the Lotus Special Economic Zone in Astrakhan could be part of this institutional infrastructure—an infrastructure capable of transforming trade into investment and transportation into value-added creation.

It was held in Anzali Free Zone by presence of Iranian and Russian officials and businessmen

The first Iran-Russia trade development summit by focus on Gilan provinces and Astrakhan was held in the Ibtihaj Hall of the Anzali Free Zone by presence of a group of officials and economic activists from both countries.

The Inspector General of Gilan Province in meeting with Managing director said:

Ahmad Aghaei, Inspector General of Gilan Province during his visit from Anzali Free Zone negotiated about trade trend, import of essential goods and status of vehicle license plates, emphasized on need to accelerate goods clearance process and facilitate commercial procedures and vehicle numbering.

The Vice President emphasized in meeting with the Secretary of Supreme Council and Managing Directors of the country's free zones:

Vice President in meeting with the Secretary of the Supreme Council and the Managing Directors of country's free and special economic zones emphasized on effective use of the capacities and legal powers of the free zones and said: Strengthening investment, increasing production, developing exports, and expanding economic interactions with neighboring countries can enhance the position of free zones in advancing the country's economic goals.
